Topics covered include conflict resolution styles, culture and conflict, conflict and mediation theory, mediation styles, facilitative mediation techniques, divorce and its impact on children and adults, domestic violence, parenting, equitable division of marital property, support arrangements, working with supporting professionals, ethics, continuing education, and marketing of your mediation practice.

This interactive training program includes lecture, dialogue, exercises, small group discussion, demonstrations of practice, and role play.

Course Instructors

The instructors are Bobbie L. Dillon, MS, and BJ Mann. We are experienced mediators with long-term, active mediation practices.

Mediation Training Program Details

  • What: 42-hour, ACR-approved Family and Divorce Mediation Training program
  • When: Five (5) days of training: Thursday-Saturday, April 12-14, 2018 and Friday-Saturday, April 20-21, 2018
  • Where: Holiday Inn Express, Victor NY. Google Map
  • Time: 8 AM-5 PM (lunch is on your own)
  • Tuition: $1,200 for registration by March 14, 2018; $1,400 March 14, 2018. Tuition includes a comprehensive manual, worksheets for use in practice, a sample MoU, and a certificate of attendance. Recognized by the Association for Conflict Resolution Family Section

  1. Via US Mail: Please print and download the mediation class registration form. Fill in the information. Follow the instructions to provide valid credit card information or to include a check. Mail the registration form (and check, if using that payment method) to Bobbie Dillon at the address listed on the form.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations which are received 30 days or more in advance of a class will be fully refunded, less a $25 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations received less than 30 days, but more than one week prior to the class will be refunded at 75%.
  • Cancellations received after the deadline for the class will not be refunded.
